Irving Expectations
Irving Elementary School has high expectations for their students both academically and behaviorally. We follow a school wide behavior system that encompasses these three basic rules. Be Responsible Be Respectful Be Safe For more information about our school expectations and behavior programs please visit our PBIS Blog. |
Mustang Mall
When students are observed following expectations they have the opportunity to earn Mustang dollars from teachers and staff around the school. Every Friday students get to take a trip to our 'Mustang Mall' and shop for prizes which they can purchase with the Mustang dollars they have earned throughout the week. Students are allowed to save their money from week to week. Marks If students make the choice to not follow an expectation, a mark will be placed on the mark chart. The mark chart moves with the students around the building and is color coded so we know exactly what area students struggle with. Students with zero marks are recognized on Monday mornings. Irving also hosts quarterly parties to reward students who earn 0-2 per quarter. |
Love & Logic
I adhere to the Love & Logic philosophy of classroom management. My goal is to provide a safe classroom environment where students feel appreciated, respected, and feel the freedom to learn and grow in their own unique style. |
